Former Goodison Park scout Bryan King believes Dele Alli has no future at Everton or Tottenham. Sean Dyche revealed that the midfield player still has a long way to go before playing again, which led to the projection. Only 13 games have been played by the 27-year-old since he left Tottenham of North London to join Merseyside.
“It’s entirely up to him,” King stated in an interview with Goodison News. What approach does he wish to take in this case? Does he start over and start over in his career, or does he choose not to play because that is the situation for players right now?
“Many athletes earn excellent salaries. He is undoubtedly still young enough to restart his playing career, but is that something he wants to do?
“I thought he was a fantastic player when he first entered the game; some of the things he did on the field were simply amazing.” He was a regular member of Tottenham’s first squad, frequently selected for England, and appeared to have a bright future.
Then, he moved to Everton after falling out of love with Tottenham, a move that never really seems to have worked out. He relocated to Everton, but he hasn’t made much of an impact on the team—on or off the field.
“So, to be honest, I don’t see him staying at Everton, and I definitely don’t see him staying at Tottenham right now. He has the final say. Does he step back and start over, or does he give up on the game?
Is Dele Alli going to be an Everton player again?
Naturally, Alli’s loan stint at Turkish team Besiktas interrupted his stay at Goodison Park, but things there didn’t exactly go as expected.
The midfielder’s time on Merseyside is also limited, since he is now distant from playing again due to injury concerns.
What Dyche and his staff have planned for the former England player, who hasn’t exactly had a break lately, is yet unknown.
