‘Shocking’ – Goodison star exit today

Jordan Pickford – Following the’strange’ transfer fiasco, no one will want to sign the Everton goalkeeper. King chastised the Goodison Park team for a number of moves made by the Merseyside authorities, including the “strange” acquisition of Jordan Pickford as goalkeeper.

In the summer of 2017, Everton broke their club transfer record by paying £30 million to get Pickford, despite their former scout’s belief that no one would want to buy him at that time [Sky Sports, June 16, 2017].

Only months after Pickford’s club-record signing, King was perplexed by the decision to fire manager Ronald Koeman. Koeman had been in control at the time of Pickford’s arrival.

Pickford picked out Everton as they roared.

King said in an interview with Goodison News, “Who would buy him? You won’t win the league with him. People like Peter Shilton and others can provide you with the extra push you need to win the league, as seen by their past performances. Pickford won’t provide you with that little bit more.

“It all comes back to hiring. Three months after a manager spends £30 million on a goalie in the summer, the player is fired. Really peculiar.

“Regardless of whether Dyche stays or a new manager takes over, if they lose, they will have to sell a number of players, settle the books, and essentially start again.

How many managers has Pickford played under in the past seven years? Koeman, Silva, Lampard, Ancelotti, Allardyce, and Dyche. They’ve had at least six managers in the last seven years, and they’re wondering why they’re currently having problems.

“The recruitment and club management have been awful, and the board and those advising the board bear a great deal of responsibility for this.

“They’ll have to sell a lot of players, settle the books, and basically start over if they lose, whether Dyche stays or is replaced as manager.

Over the previous seven years, how many managers has Pickford played under? Koeman, Silva, Lampard, Dyche, Ancelotti, and Allardyce. They are perplexed as to why they are now experiencing issues, considering that they have had at least six managers in the last seven years.

“The board and individuals advising the board hold a significant lot of responsibility for the terrible hiring and club management.

The Premier League has accused and penalized the Toffees for their financial misdeeds in recent years, and since then, another allegation has been added.

Their punishment, a 10-point deduction that occurred earlier in the season and has been appealed, can now result in an additional points deduction.
